Requirements

 

• Open to Cruising Jackson members only.

• King of the Strip CARS Ineligible for this race.

• Must be a CJ Facebook member before July 1, 2024..

• $100 Entry Fee (Plus Gate Fees) Winner takes all.

 

Rules

 

• Open to all Door Cars, Dragsters & Left hand steer roadsters only.

• No Double Entries.

• 2 Qualifying Passes. (REQUIRED)

• No Throttle Stops.

• Transbrake permitted.

• .500 Pro Tree.

• All times & speeds will be posted on finish line boards (No Exceptions) in the spirit of Cruising Jackson.

 

Qualifying

 

• 2 qualifying passes required. (timed)

• Your fastest timed run in qualifying will be used to set your dial in for the race.

 

Race

 

• Lane choice is decided by coin-toss by race official in staging lanes.

• Courtesy Staging

• THE TWIST. Calculating your Dial - In. Example: If your fastest qualifying time was a 6.05, your Dial-In will become a 6.00 for the remainder of the race. .05 below best qualifying time.

• After that, it becomes a bracket-style event where the first person to the line wins as long as you do not go quicker than 6.00 like example above..

• Each driver is responsible to verify their dial-in before staging.

• All Run field.

• Crossing the centerline is automatic disqualification.

 

Breakout Rules

 

• Contestants who race below their posted dial-in during eliminations are disqualified, with the following exceptions: 

      When an opponent foul starts or crosses a boundary line. 

• On a single run. 

• When both drivers run under their index/dial-in, the driver who is the least under is the winner. 

• If two contestants run under by the same margin (with elapsed times extended to a thousandth of a second), the driver crossing the finish line first is the winner.
